what a dayyyy. so i got dq’d in the 100 fly. oof. then i added 6 seconds on my 500. oof. but then at the end of the meet, coach rogers walks up to me, hands me the dq slip “i have a present for you kim, here.” oof. know that this is the end of the meet, all the events are over, everyone’s cleaning up, im all packed and ready to go, in my sweats and sweater, all comfy etc. then he says to me “get in your suit youre swimming the 100 fly again in 5 minutes. oof. and i was like. “o.o whut?” basically swam off against freshman kenny. i was scared to death he would beat me since he was aware he was swimming and i was told 5 minutes before hand. i was about a quarter body length ahead of him by the first 50 :D. he totally caught up though on the third lap, (oof) and we were tied at the last turn. bust out one of my world renowned streamlines consisting of 6 hard dolphin kicks and was about a quarter body length ahead when i touched the finish :P. i was pretty satisfied, my time was about 55.5 i think? couldnt really see the board. but i was happy. i felt bad i took away kenny’s opportunity to go to ccs as a freshman, but he’s definitely going next year. he’s one talented kid. not sure where i stand on rogers’ fav’s list, but i still think im somewhat up there. well, all in all, good day. :)
